Rumors have been circulating that Microsoft has plans to come out with a motion controller for the Xbox 360 similar in the manner that the controller of the Nintendo Wii functions.
The big question right now is whether or not Microsoft wil release a first-party motion controller for the Xbox 360. One Microsoft official has come out and stated that “Microsoft does not comment on rumors or speculation. And I have nothing further to share.”
This is not a decline or rumor killing statement from Microsoft though who has been losing at retail to the Nintendo Wii in both North America and abroad in Europe and Japan.
The rumor is that Gyration, the same company which worked to create the prototype designs of the Wii Remote for Nintendo, is now working with Microsoft on a similar controller for the Xbox 360.
The Sony PS3 also has motion controls with its SIXAXIS controller, leaving Microsoft as the only gaming company not using motion control.
The rumors will keep circulating and only time will tell if this ends up true or false.
